Clearing

Ceramics I — Clearing. A pale band about a third of the way down, dark closing over it above and below. Grit gathers just above the foot. First in the Ceramics range. Available at 30x40 cm, 50x70 cm and 70x100 cm. Printed to order on 200 gsm matte paper at a press near the delivery address, and shipped worldwide. Frames are not included; the frame in the photographs is there to show scale.

Tone and density.

A picture with no subject does not compete with a room. What these have instead is tone and density — how far the colour travels before it turns, and how thickly it lies where it gathers.

A print is bought for one particular wall, usually one you are standing in front of. A 700 × 1000 mm sheet is 100 cm tall, hung to a centre line 145 cm from the floor. Every product page draws the sizes at true relative scale.
